Legacies of War - History Healing Hope
Aviation High School

In the 1960s and 70s, millions of Southeast Asians were affected by civil and international wars that plagued the region. At the same time, hundreds of thousands of American servicemen and women were killed, wounded and traumatized during this period of conflict. Many of these personal stories from the “secret wars” remain untold. It is our purpose in this project to uncover the stories of those affected by the events that ravaged Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. We believe that to better understand what impact war has on individuals and our own community, we must explore the personal stories of those who have lived it.
